This classic pewter tankard has a polished bright finish and comes in your choice of a solid or glass bottom. May be purchased in either a banded design with glass or solid bottom. Makes a great gift for your groomsmen.

The old story has it that during the pirate days, they would capture new crew members in the taverns by tossing a coin into a glass bottom tankard while the unsuspecting customer wasn't looking. As the customer would be taking his last few swigs of beer, the pirates would know which ones to kidnap as they could see the coin in the bottom of the tankard.
