Glühwein (Mulled Wine) Wine Cup

These wine cups are favored for serving Gluhwein or Mulled wine or any other hot seasonal beverage. The traditional German style you see here has the forest green handle. Holds 8 ounces of your favorite beverage.

Gluhwein Recipe:
There are many different types of Gluhwein recipes. We have found this to be a favorite. You can try different types of red wines or simply use your favorite.

2 liters red wine
1/2 fresh lemon or orange rind
8 cups hot brewed tea (optional)
4 oz sugar
3 whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks

Mix everything together in a large pot and heat to a low simmer for about 30 min. Do not boil! The longer you leave the mixture brewing, the spicier the Gluehwein.

Tip: For parties, you can leave the Gluhwein on low heat in a crockpot to keep the wine warm.
